Hello everyone!

I am introducing this thread as a place where those who are advanced in their studies of Irish will have a place ot chat without having to post translations. Please try not to post any English here. Now, with that said, I must confess that I speak NO Irish, so I will be depending on some of the more advanced learners, like Danann, to help me keep an eye on this place so that nothing gets posted that shouldn't!

Now with that said, let's get on to the Irish! smile.gif

Dia dhuit a hIoan!

Is mise Darrach agus is as Bhaile Átha Cliath mé

Tá súil agam nach miste leat, ach rinne mé roinnt ceartúchán ar do theachtaireacht!

An raibh tú in Éireann riamh? Ba bhreá liom dul go dtí an tSualainn, tá cara agam as Stockholm. Cá as tú fhéin?

Siarls is ainm dom. Tagaim ón Bhreatain Bheag. Labhraím Breatnais, Béarla, Spáinnis, Fraincis agus Iodáilis. Ba mhaith liom labhairt Gaeilge toisc is dóigh álainn é.

Dia dhuit a Shiarls! Conas atá tú? Cá as a d'fhoglaim tú do chuid Ghaeilge? Tá sí go han-mhaith!
Ceapaim gur teanga álainn í an Bhreatnais freisin, ach an-deacair ar fad!

[sorry, I don't speak Irish well enough to understand everything you've said or to reply! It took me ages to write that above! Is there a Beginner's Irish Gaelic section with English?!! I have tried looking to no avail. Sorry!]
