I have a few pet peeves and I was just curious really yanks your chain.

I hate rude drivers. Especially tail-gating. AAAARRRRGGGHHH! My rule is that you should treat ppl on the road the same way you would treat them on the side walk.

Another peeve of mine is these idiots in their SUVs that speed on snowy roads. Sure they get traction to go, but 4 wheel drive doesn't help you stop. BTW: We own an SUV (Ford Explorer) and neither my wife nor I drive like that.

A big one for me is ppl who chew with their mouths open. I really hate when I'm at a restaurant and someone sitting across from you is doing that.

So, what bothers you? I promise I won't use it for ammunition. Really! hypocrite.gif

Cheers!

Normal is a relative term. For some reason it is not a term my relatives use to describe me.

I'm shocked! To think that... that... that I would use something that you shared with us in good faith against you. cry.gif Gabs, you should know better! wink.gif

Seriously, though, I think that knowing what irritates ppl is a good way to get to know them better. So spill!

Okay then...There are two things I remember immediately..

One thing we have in common. I HATE people chewing with open mouth, too - or - even worse - speaking with full mouth or eating noisly...URRRGH! sad.gif

Another thing that makes me feel VERY uncomfortable is when people I do not know at all, do not know well or do not like stand too close to me, so close that I can feel the heat of their body...brrrr....I think it is a question of courtesy to keep a small step distance, isn't it? I'm not shy at all and I love to communicate but that bothers me.
I once had a collegue at work who ALWAYS came sooooo close to me when he asked something or when we had to discuss a problem...it gave me the creeps...*shiver*...and trying to tell him not to do so diplomatically was simply in vain. So I asked him one day with my very sweetest smile if he wouldn't like to sit down on my lap just as well. He got the message...for a while at least! wink.gif

My biggest pet peeve is when people go into a convenience store and leave their car running (and, more often than not, with their kids in there too) ! They might just as well put a huge sign up that says:

STEAL THIS CAR!

After the people who cut you off on the road, which is a given, my pet peeve is the people who drive 10 miles down the road with the turn signal on! You never know when they are really going to turn! Or maybe it's the ones who turn and never put on a signal at all! wink.gif
At home it's the people who fix themselves something to eat and don't clean up. I have been known to get people out of bed to clean up messes.....Usually once is enough.....for at least a week. wink.gif

During the summer, I have been known to leave the car (and AC) running while in the store. Of course the 100 # Chessie in the car would be happy to eat any would-be car thief. biggrin.gif

One thing of my many that irks me is people who change their Avatar's and I get use to seeing one and identifying them by that then they go and change to something else and I realize who it is....I wonder if they are just playing with my mind or if they are ADD and can't remember where they parked their last Avatar at? Maybe they have short term memory? Maybe their sneaky little devils? Who could this be, Hummm?

hummmm
