Happy New Year to Everyone!

Wishing you all the best in the coming year.

2023. Wow. I still feel like we just entered into the 2000's.

Last night I followed the old Irish tradition and opened my door at midnight and let the old year out .....and let the New Year in.

Have a great celebration.

I joined Oct 4th, 2008.
So excited with “my new discovery”.
Love the music and the Celtic Radio website!
Looking forward to the new site as well.
When I joined The Forum was very active back then.
It was a great source of information and fun.
Still jump on the site almost daily.
Thank you Celtic Radio for a lot of enjoyment.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to everyone!

With most events, parades, gatherings still cancelled and limited here it will be a low key day here as well. Celebrating in spirit, listening to good music all day, and will raise a Guinness to you all.

Sláinte!

The Pikeys

“The Sons of War and Whisky”

“90’s Punk Scene products Ben and Mike. Their thundering Power Punk Core of guitar (Mike), bass (Glenn), vocals (Ben) and drums (Hennessey) is completely complimented by the addition of fiddle (Erik) and banjo (Buji). The Pikeys’ sound is aggressively organic. Like a visit from the Ghost of Saint Patrick’s Day Future, they shiver the heart and thrill the soul. Ranging from intensely dramatic, hair raising adventures to bawdy and rowdy limericks about liquor; The Pikeys will transport you to a time and place where the injustices of the world are thwarted by ballads and unity of spirit.”

With the Pandemic, one of the biggest things I miss are the Festivals and Celtic Celebrations!

Looks like this years’ St. Patrick’s celebrations will be very limited in my area for the 2nd year in a row......

Summer and Fall Festivals??

I can’t wait for the return to “normal” when I can sing and hear music with a group of friendly people, enjoy a beer with those same people, and get back to those festive happy times.
I hope very soon.

Up in New England we have a few inches of snow on the ground right now. More snow coming tomorrow. 3-6 inches.
We’ve had snow cover on the ground for much of the winter but not really high amounts. And temperatures have not been too bad this winter, mostly around the upper 20’s and lower 30’s. Couple of cold snaps here and there.
Overall, compared to a “usual” winter, not too bad at all this year.

I know in southern parts of the United States (Teaxas) the cold is causing havoc right now.

How is the weather in your area and how has your “winter” (Dec, Jan, Feb) been??

I was so excited to win the “Whisper Valley and Other Stories CD!

Thanks so much Celtic Radio.

Bangers and Mash are an energetic and fun Celtic band that I’d love to see in person one day. And I will at some point as they are based not too far from me. When things get better it is on my list of things to do.

Great Band:

They said they will be doing it again in 2 weeks, Wednesday, June 10th.

They did a great job. They had trivia prizes too. Good product and they were very entertaining as well.

Live Facebook shopping event from the “The Tinkers Cart” tonight at 7:00pm eastern standard time.

Some pretty neat stuff up for sale. Great shop I’ve been to many times now in Worcester, Massachusetts.

“Here at the Tinker's Cart we pride ourselves on bringing you the finest goods the Emerald Isle has to offer.”

They are trying to drum up some business in these tough times.

Looking forward to listening to Pete Hudson.
