Slàn agus beannachd, Allen R. Alderman
'S i Alba tìr mo chridhe. 'S i Gàidhlig cànan m' anama. Scotland is the land of my heart. Gaelic is the language of my soul.
I've been introduced to and listening to Celtic music on iTunes radio for several weeks. Stumbled, happily, upon Celticradio.net today. Happy to join up.
I'd be pleased to chat with anybody on topics of mutual interest. Check out my profile for a starter.
Haven't selected a nickname yet . Open to selections (I think).
Welcome kb4xe ! . Yes maybe it'll be a good idea to find another nickname, I've problems to type this one... (no suggestions for the moment) Nice to meet you in our little corner of the web. People are very friendly here and interested in a very wide selection of subjects... Sure you'll enjoy both the music and the discussions !

Welcome kb4xe and caoimhe! So glad you found us! There are bunches and bunches of nice people here to chat with and good music for the hearing! Jump right in and start chatting! Can't wait to get to know you through your posts! And, by the way, kb4xe, I see you like ham radio. How about Ham for your nickname? Or some variation thereof? Just a thought...
I am not really too new here but I have just listened, not participated in anything. I enjoy the Celtic music and the art as well. I am of Scot/Irish decent, and reside in the USA. I would someday like to see Ireland and Scotland. I just assisted my son in his first Mead attempt last eve. It smelled vaguely familiar, but I do not recall tasting Mead, but being Scadian I must have smelled it, if not tasted it at some time. I do not have much time to frequent the forum, but hope all goes well with you'all. Soarsie
Hello everyone. I am very new to this site--found it on Danny Lewin's Let's Dance the Irish Way site. I am still looking through the site. My nickname is JoeJoe and I love Lord of the Dance--all ID for that matter. But I have gone from Las Vegas to Frankfurt, Milwaukee to Miami to watch LOTD. And I will be in Austria in December. My fan photos, posters and other ID shows can be found at: http://community.webshots.com/user/ejflakes My dream is to go to Ireland someday. I live in Satellite Beach FL USA. Think Space Shuttle--I live about 20 miles south on one of Florida's barrier islands(thank God, we did do fine during the hurricane--lots of Floridians are still without water, electricity, food and shelter) I collect Irish Dance Show posters--so let me know if you have any. Well I want to get back looking around. God Bless, JoeJoe

Hello, all! I'm a new member, just joined last night and this is my first post.
Tim Sharkey is the name. I hail from central Nebraska, USA. I play in a group called the Wild Clover Band. We have been an outpost for Celtic music here in the Heartland for about the last four years. (By that, I mean that you have to head to Omaha, about three hours east, to find the next nearest Irish band.) I play guitar, mandolin, and attempt to sing a bit, too.
Please feel free to check out our website at www.wildcloverband.com .
(Ya know, I haven't read the FAQ's here yet, so I hope that plug doesn't violate user guidelines in this forum. IF SO, lemme know and I'll cease and desist!)
Anyway, I'm excited about finding a Celtic forum, since there are not many folks of Irish descent around here (mostly German, Polish, and Scandanavian in this neck o' the woods!) In fact out of seven in our band, I'm the only one with more than a dab of Irish blood!
