I feel a little bad with the updates to the site not happening very often. Hopefully in a few weeks once we are moved to our new server we can start to concentrating on music and musicians!
We received the Glengarry Bhoys latest album called Juice. Man, this is their best album to date! I absolutely love each and every song. I would highly suggest you request a few of their songs to hear some great sounding music. They are on our list for a feature in earlier 2003.
I am so glad that you got the promo kits for the Bhoys alright....I will be one that will request lots of their song from Juice.....Now we got to wait until early 2003 to get the newest cd.....can't wait .... Slainte **joei** http://www.joeithistle.homestead.com
Joei, I want to thank you personally for making this happen. I do have to say that this album is just fantastic. I am impressed with the level of musical maturity expressed in these well-arranged songs. The album just holds itself together very well. I just love it!
We have placed this new album in both our featured artist play and heavy rotational play. This means it should receive a good amount of play during the day.
We will do a feature story probably in early 2003. Right now our features and reviews are delayed as we work on our web server project.
Again, thanks for getting the media kit to us and CD.
:rolleyes You are welcome Paul.....glad you like it.....I can't wait to see the feature story about the Bhoys . Let me know when you got it on here.... Slainte **joei**
i heard the boys for the first time in July of last year. They were inpressive. I prefer the more triditional style but really enjoied these youg talented folks[FONT=Impact][SIZE=7][COLOR=red]
I'm about to hear the new Enter the Haggis CD. MacFive tells me he's sending me the one that I won tomorrow.
Saw the Bhoys last night at Green Lane Highland Games. They played two evening sets - both spectacular. Their new CD is out - Mountain Road. It is all newly arranged old Bhoys favorites and sounds much like their live sets. I really love it and highly recommend it to Celtic music lovers.
I'm seeing the Bhoys again in two weeks at Celtic Classic. They are doing a Friday evening concert before heading out to the NH Highland Games.
I just placed an order this morning for one of their CD's. I'm excited about hearing it. Supposedly, they will be at the Dunedin Celtic Festival here in Florida in November. I've already requested the day off!
I apologize for not being able to meet-up with everyone at the Bethlehem Celtic Classic. Unfortunately, we're playing at Brittinghams in Philadelphia on Friday, and then the Wildwood Irish Festival on Saturday and Sunday.
We had a GREAT concert with the Glengarry Bhoys a few months ago, at a Highland Games event in Bethlehem. WONDERFUL guys... and the music is just as good! Can't believe I missed them at GreenLane... but we were playing a 9/11 concert in New York City. Geesh!!!!!
Jim we are going to check out the Glengarrybhoys Friday night! Hopefully you will be able to meet with us another time! Have a great time at Brittingham's!
I first heard the Bhoys at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA where they played for the international dinner. As part of the school A/V crew, I was supposed to be helping, though I forget what we did... Anyway, they were great. I bought "Home Again" and got it autographed.
And just this past weekend, I got to see them at the Bethlehem Celtic Classic with Annabelle, A Shrule Egan, Fran and Beth. Loud, but fun!
Does anyone know where Ziggy went or why?
