Got the following e-mail from my son in California a few days ago. I went to Yosemite for the first time on Wednesday. The last gas station on this side of the park had regular unleaded for $4.39 a gallon. That is a dollar more than gas stations just ten miles before it. I guess they don't know I'm cheap enough to turn around.

BTW, the lowest price my mom and I saw when we were in Iowa was $3.15 at a Pilot station in suburban Des Moines.

Has anyone been trying to change their driving habits? I really can not. I have a 40 mile drive to work, one way. Maybe I need to buy a hybrid. What are some other ways to deal with these high gas prices?
