I wished my daughters Happy May Day this morning, and then explained what I meant. When we were kids we made our own paper baskets, filled them with wild flowers we found, and left them hanging on friends' doorknobs. It was a lot of fun, and it's a shame the custom hasn't survived. I know now that "May Day", as I've always known it, is so much more than that. I hope you've all had a wonderful Beltane!
