For those who are expecting a costuming forum I didn't receive an answer for now.So I think we should post here as long as we get an answer.

I didn't start my arisad for now , I have a hundred of things to do : gardening , medieval fence, planning costuming and trying to find accessoiries and I'm working on a chainmail.I'm too poor to buy a full armor because I will never buy stuff on ebay.My sister buy an helmet. It's too small but shipping taxes and duty cost more then the helmet so it's a decoration.I will probably this week-end see the movie Kingdom of heaven .A friend told me the battle scene are amazing but the medieval side is enough to push me to want to see it.

If some of you want to write to the responsible to say you really want the forum maybe it can help.If some of you have picture to share it will be nice to see work of other, which king of costume have you done , any trick to share ?the worst fabric you have ever work with?

Perhaps a forum for all medieval re-creationists and enthusiasts would be better. Then for example, there could be topics on medieval games, garb/costuming, armor & armor-making, etc.

Lemme see what I can come up with.

Thanks for the link but I knew the SCA.The idea was to have a forum for costuming in general not only for medieval .I already submit the idea but it seems there is not enough of interest people for that.

May I ask , are you a member of the SCA.Can you give some trick if I want ot join.I know the first time I should wear medieval cloth but the first time you go to a practice to see what they do and are people are,is there something I should know like something I should avoid???

Nancy .
I hope you do take a look into the SCA..
Here is all you need to know about how to join.

http://www.sca.org/newcomers.html

This guide will tell you, how to find a group,
And how to dress for, and what to expect at your first event ..

Every group has a Gold Key, who can help you at your first meeting smile.gif
Even as far as lending you proper attire..
but what you have on in your pic is perfect, from what I can tell..

Enjoy!

Paula
