I really introduced myself on here in the Celtic Radio forum providing a review of Flogging Molly's 2007 album 'Float', the vinyl version. That's the main thing about me as far as music goes, I'm a true member of the Vinyl Renaissance, at 25. My avatar is of the cartridge/stylus assembly of my turntable.
My favorite channel station that we have here on celticradio.net is the newest one, 'SaltyDog Radio'. Yes, I'm a landlubber with me living inland, but to me, the songs about the sea and sailing are where its really at when it comes to tradtional music from the celtic nations.

LP Vinyl Enthusiast - It really needs to be in LP vinyl format for me to most certainly get it. ^^
"Your brother brought me silver, and your sister warmed my soul, but now I laugh and pull so hard and see you swinging from the gallows pole!" - from the Led Zeppelin song "Gallows Pole", 'Led Zeppelin III' album.

CarolinaScotsman, really about as both far west AND far south in North Carolina as you can go before you wind up in Tennessee or Georgia.
LeeLee, the CD I won this month, Jennifer Johnson's 'My Secret Garden', what can you tell me about it? This will be the second CD of music played on Celtic Radio that I'll have, in addition to 'Bottoms Up Live!' that I bought.

My Secret Garden is a relaxing Celtic music CD of traditional, contemporary and original songs by Celtic singer Jennifer Johnson, inspired by Mary Black. Her soaring vocals silence pubs and find a home in timeless classics of Celtic origin and beyond. "My Secret Garden" also features musicians Natalie Haas, Eamon O'Leary, Jerry O'Sullivan and Ben Wisch.
A bit about Jennifer: Born in New York, NY, she studied singing in New York City and Los Angeles, but it was travels to Ireland that opened the door to a world of timeless music for the young artist and then the discovery of a traditional Irish music session that inspired the singer/musician to rent a violin and study with Patrick Ourceau, Athena Tergis and Brian Conway and to travel to Cape Breton Island and study its rich music and dance culture.
Jennifer's background also includes Irish step-dance, ballet, the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, Sivananda Yoga Ashram teacher training and the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy. Jennifer works with various musicians in the NYC/Philadelphia area and loves to go to Irish sessions.
You can also check out some of her songs on Utube. Go to Google and type in Utube Secret Garden Heartstrings and you'll be able to hear one of her songs and performance. On the right there should be many more Utube clips of her music you can view & listen too. Very calming music, I absolutely love it I am also a fan of Mary Black (Fields of Gold). You are very fortunate to have won such a great CD. Enjoy

We should be joining you in a few months, just a few hours north of you in West Jefferson. Click on our web page below.
Ah, you're going to be opening up a Bed & Breakfast in my hometown? There's one here, the Huntington Hall, that dad and the grandparents lived in for several years before they sold it to the person that made it into the Huntington Hall.
Not a whole lot going on in that part of the country. What brought you there? Helen Ga. isn't far from you but that's a town that created their own tourist industry, just to survive. It is some beautiful scenery in that area though.
It's where I've lived my whole life. My town's inventing itself a tourist industry to survive too for the most part, but there are still a few manufacturing plants here. Industrial Opportunities, Inc. being one of them, where I work. I've not worked there in over a month however, the economic slowdown has even reached to there.
We're glad you found us and I hope you love being here - as you've found out already,we have lots of forums, different kinds of Celtic music and really nice folks!
Have fun exploring - I look forward to reading your future posts!

Best cheers! Robbie
