Do you practice any forms of divination? (Tarot, Runes, Tea Leaves, bones, etc) If so, what do you do, and how did you come to it?

Does anyone recommend any form of divination?

I have done tarot for many years. Not all the time, or for money. Just when people ask, or the mood strikes me. Or I hear this " hey you need to do this NOW. " From one of the decks.....
LOL!
I try to just go with what works at the moment. Not plan anything. And normally what I need to "see" comes in a dream, or a sence of deja vu. Meaning the sence that I might have done this before and this was the result, try another path.....

make sence???

It makes sense to me. I have actually got away from traditional tarot decks to a deck that deals with the path of the self. So basically, it is futile to do a reading for someone else with them. I tried once and halfway into it, I realized it applied to me.

I have also used pendulums quite a bit, my problem is clearing my mind out, because I tend to influence them to do what I want.

Do you count animal guides as Divination?

If so I go to alter or a place of solitude and clear my mind of the world. I then trance and read what my guides have to tell me. The best experience I have had with this was in a sweeat lodge...just have to do it to believe !

That is a little more internal thanwhat I mean. Divination is using an external method.

Animal guides are both external and internal...humm maybe I will start a thread seperate of this one to explain and ask for input.

It's not divination in the way you mean it (external method) but I have premonitions ( and real ones:death of someone, accidents, break-up... pretty scary sometimes... ). I know that many people dpn't believe that this kind of stuff is possible but it is!

I just joined Highlander Radio and saw these posts on Divination. I have just begun to study Divination. I have learned the Tarot many years ago and now I am learning Rune Stones. I will also be learning other forms of Divination as time goes on. I belong to a Medieval Renaissance group (we do attend Renaissance Fairs) and have different guilds within our group, Divination being one of the Guilds. I am the oldest member of the guild (age 51 biggrin.gif ) but looking forward to learning.

Blessed Be

Just thought I'd bring back an old thread. biggrin.gif

I use a shape shifter tarot deck. My reading always turn out, but I still have to read the meaning from the book. The people I read for don't mind because I only read for my friends or charges. (people that come to me for healing, not people I charge $$) I don't believe in charging for readings. I see it as a gift and I'd hate to do anything to lose it.

Hello all.

Hope everyone is having a good day today. It's beautiful here. It feels like spring instead of winter.

I just read through these posts and I agree with you shadows, a thread about all of this would be great. I know I would be in there reading and learning. I have always been fascinated by all of this. I actually just received a tarot deck as a gift. I heard that is the only way you should acquire them. You cannot buy them yourself. If this is right, then I am on the right track. That's about it. rolleyes.gif

I would like to learn about the Rune Stones. And about animal guides as divination.

I look foreward to seeing this thread, if not I will be sending out some pm's. biggrin.gif

Take care all.

I use the Greenwood tarot, but I also scry in a crystal egg, and a black mirror and use a pendulum.

I recommend starting with tarot cards or a pendulum, if you have never divined before.
