I am a little confused. I found this site today, then I joined because I like the music and my family doesn't want to listen to it, so this is great for me. unsure.gif

Frozenrose: Welcome, I'm new here myself but I can assure you these are some fine and honest people. Feel free to be yourself, ask any question you like without fear, and in general just wander around and talk to people like you would at any social gathering. Sometimes serious, sometimes funny, but always sincere and the conversation is clever.

The music united us but the friendships keep us coming back for more. A great cast of characters, so....tell us more about yourself. How things are in your part of the country (and world) in general, etc...you know, the usual stuff.

Again, welcome to the crew!

We all came for the music, OH what a clever trap Macfive set for us all!! wink.gif
But we have stayed and talked, yelled, and talked some more! We being the eclectic collection of the most unusual individuals you will ever find!!! rolleyes.gif

All are great people, we just don't always agree wink.gif . Pull up a chair , listen to the music, and talk away if your heart desires, we have not bitten anyone yet!

Shadows thinks to himself :*** humm this one needs a little more age and meat on the bone before ready for the spit... **** biggrin.gif

welcome Frozenrose!
As you can tell themusic brought us in. And the people keep me coming back.
You can just chat about everydays stuff, Celtic history, Traditional cooking from the Isles, music, what ever... I have learned a great deal from many people. I consider these people my friends... which one day we can all meet at a gathering or festival.... But friends I now have around the globe, that I think about and know that they think of me from time to time.... This is a great place! I can not thank Paul and everyone involved enough for giving us all a place to listen to great music ( mine included... LOL! wink, wink, knudge, knudge) and good conversation....

Again, welcome.

I to came here for the music and am relatively new (a few weeks?)

I have already found the people to be very helpful here. Way way beyond my expectations biggrin.gif

I would love to meet people from this list as we travel arround. I plan to go to at least a few festivals in the next year.

And I think that Arminta and I will be playing at the Claddagh in Newport next month Dec 4th it would be cool to meet you Barddas

Welcome FrozenRose. Is it cold where you come from??

Posted by: Annabelle 03-Jan-2004, 09:55 AM
hey Aon, you silly girl I knew what you meant by being on here a long time, just a play on words you funny girl!

Now I'll always be 18! Ask any of my friends. Richard and Elspeth can testify to my being 18 and a blonde (really a redhead) but friends say I'm a blonde.

I still skateboard and rollerskate so go figure.

Can't wait til I have a grand-kid so I'll have a playmate and can babysit. Wonder how much my son will pay per hour? He's better include food.

Hey Single speed whats the temp there in the hill county, its going to be 80 here today in Greenville Tx. sweatdrop.gif

Posted by: valpal 59 03-Jan-2004, 08:59 PM
Lucky! the northern Texas Panhandle was only in the 40's today. sad.gif

Posted by: kidclaymore 03-Jan-2004, 09:23 PM
Its suppose to get cold this week, but no snow or ice.

Posted by: frozenrose97 04-Jan-2004, 08:14 PM
single speed, yes it's cold up here. i haven't checked the weather recently but it did snow a few days ago. today it was rather muddy.

Posted by: frozenrose97 04-Jan-2004, 08:16 PM
But since i come from AZ, i guess it would be around the 80s but when i was born it was 100 F.

Posted by: Annabelle 04-Jan-2004, 09:12 PM
Here in Ga today it was 78 degree's and I wore cut off's. Tonight it's down to 40 and just put the sweat pants and sweatshirt on to watch a ball game. Go Oklahoma ! Crazy weather here right now. I liked it better when it's cold.

Posted by: frozenrose97 05-Jan-2004, 04:30 PM
oh ya, it snowed and sleeted today. when i got home and went out onto my back porch you could have skated across the lawn.

Posted by: kidclaymore 06-Jan-2004, 03:44 AM
I told everyone the other day it was 80 degrees here in Greenville Tx. Now its 20 degrees. The old saying is right "If you don't like the weather in Texas, Wait a minute and it will change".

All this talk of warm weather is depressing. Going to work this am it was -3F with the wind chill at -22.

THAT will keep the beer cold. beer_mug.gif

Posted by: Annabelle 06-Jan-2004, 08:41 PM
Warm Beer is good to Maisky. Think of it as a positive. The German's don't have their beers always chilled. Ya, dis is good! The German's have the very best beeaar. Ya!
It got chilly to day and down from 78 degree's yesterday to 38 today. And people wonder why everyone keeps getting sick.

We started the day at 0 with wind chill of -8. brrrr. Made it to 28 today, was 24 yesterday. They say tomorrow is supposed to be 54. wacko.gif I have to agree with Annabelle. No wonder everyone is sick.

I was out riding the Harley on New Year's Day, here in northwest New Jersey. It was 62 degrees and now it's not going to get above freezing for the rest of the week.
We've been pretty lucky here this year, compared to last year, it just never stopped snowing, Thanksgiving to the middle of April. This year, just 2 snows and both melted quickly. Hope it stays that way. I have to start thinking about moving south in the next few years. Can't handle this cold weather anymore.

12 degrees F in Western NY, with a chilling wind out of Canada. Had to do a bit of winter camping last night, as heating system decided to take a rest. Fortunately, we already had service person scheduled for a visit this morning.
