Hello my name is Dale Brister, I am very interested in my Celtic Heritage.

Posted by: greenldydragon 14-Jun-2004, 06:57 AM
Welcome Dale Brister or Camchak! Also welcome to Martin! Go ahead and look around the forums if you read some people's posts you can kinda get an idea of how they'll react to certain things. But generally there isn't any need to worry. Just jump right in, that's what I did!
Cheers!

Welcome everyone!

Ebendigo, is your avatar a tin whistle? Do you play? If so, there's a thread over in the Celtic Music forum that I started called I Want To Play Tin Whistle. I would love to read your comments on that topic if you have anything to say! I've had many good comments already, but the more the merrier! smile.gif

Posted by: ebendigo 15-Jun-2004, 04:51 AM
I do play the tin whistle and I will have to check out the thread. Thanks for letting me know.

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome! Just go through thinks you're into all out first then check out the others. Or you could read um and try to figure out the personalities of people... either or really.
Looking forward to seeing your posts!

Just a word of advice about CeltiicRadio. It can be very addictive. I seem to be checking in several times a day. I can't seem to help myself, I'm always curious to see what's new!! biggrin.gif

Enjoy yourselves!! I do. bye1.gif

Oops. Sorry I'm late. wink.gif

Welcome to the three of you. I advise lurking around, reading and posting as you wish. It's best to wait until you've figured out the way of this place before you start any new threads. That'll help you avoid getting threads shut down for missplacement.

And if you have any questions, like what's a 'flamewar' wink.gif just send me a pm. (personal message). Like you said. This is your first time in a forum, so there are most likely a lot of terms used here that make little sense to you. And some that make sense to none. Like Troll. No one here seems to know what a forum troll is. Barddas even calls himself one in his title. tongue.gif Sorry Jason, but a Troll is not something you want to be buddy. Esspecially if you're a global mod.

A troll (noun) is:
- A user that posts to cause disturbance and/or cause trouble.
Trolling (verb) is:
- Posting to cause trouble/disturbance.
Trolling is SO not what you're about man. Just thought you should know.

Oh, and don't do what I just did. That is, steering a thread off topic, or hijacking. laugh.gif
