Hi, I see someone is from Kalamazoo. I am from Grand Rapids, MI. I went to Ireland in Sept. Loved it. My ancestors on my mother's side are from Ireland so it wa a great treat to go. The Irish are so friendly. Wish that I could see these guys in person, maybe someday.

Have a great evening.

I enjoyed it so much over there. We had a lot of rain but it would rain only for a short time that then the rainbow would come out. The cab drivers were magnificent. The ones that we had that were native to Ireland kept us informed on what was happening. We had one driver who was definitely not from there and he drove out of his way so he got more money. On the way home my daughter told the next driver and he wouldn't let us pay. He said that those that come to visit his homeland should be treated like royalty.

I am proud of my Irish heritage especially after visiting that country.

Howdy, Bev, from the Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona! Glad to have you on the site and trust that you are enjoying all that you see and hear. My wife and i had the joy of visiting Ireland last March. It really helped us both connect to our heritage. Hope to go again!

Welcome aboard and have a great day!

Hello neighbor!! I am the one from Kalamazoo (I am not aware of others, but surely they exist!), and I am very happy to see another Michigander on the site! I've not been to Ireland yet, but some relatives and friends have gone. Their stories and pictures gave more reason to go! It really is something to meet people who are natives to get the real culture of a place. I hope you enjoy the site and the forums, there are lots of great people on here smile.gif I hope the snow isn't giving you too much trouble!
