We have three Highland games a year here in Arizona. One in Flagstaff, Phoenix and Tucson at different times of the year. I went to the one in Tucson last November and then we have the other in Phoenix happening February 28,29. I can't wait to hear the pipe and drum! thumbs_up.gif

We have about 8 here in Texas. The one that I go to the most is the Scottish Festival in Arlington Tx. Houston has three and San Anthonio has three and Midland Tx. has the Seven Celtic Nations Festival. biggrin.gif

Now talk about lucky! Oh to hear the pipes and drums. I just love them. I just bought a CD that has nothing but pipes and drum and it has my favorite "Scotland the Brave." I adore that song! The last games I was at one of the guys was singing the words to the music. I had never heard the words before. It was so beautiful! note.gif thumbs_up.gif

Well I just made reservations to the next Highland games that will be held in July! It will be up in the beautiful mountains of Flagstaff, Arizona on July 17 and it should be lovely. I was told to make my reservations early, so I did. I get to see my favorite author again, Diana Gabaldon, and have her sign more of my books. Plus, there will be a concert by The Wicked Tinkers who I am really very excited to see! I love their music! thumbs_up.gif

I'd be happy to do it for you Paula! Just let me know! I am buying a new hard back Outlander book for her to sign and buying one for a friend of mine for her to sign also. She is going to be doing a reading from her new book to be released the end of this year that continues the story of Jamie and Claire! Woot! thumbs_up.gif
