I thought it was an amazing list - and might help overseas visitors to start thinking about a couple of the items to put on their travl itinerary!

...and visitors from the continent as well! Thank you for posting, Cat...the list is amazing, informative and helpful! smile.gif

I've done a few of these but there are a great many that I haven't. The Broons and Oor Wullie annuals were in my Christmas stocking every year when I was small. biggrin.gif

Mine, too,Jules
But I always preferred the year it was the Broons - I could take or leave OW...! PC Murdoch was probably my favourite character in OW!

Did some of them already, but I'm afraid I'll never bag the munro's... One thing is missing tho I think. Go have a wee swim in Loch Ness. Yes it's freezing but it's also quite wonderful and creepy.. Jumped off our boat when we sailed the Caledonian Canal (which is nicer than driving it up). But tourist-sailors over here need a couple of lessons in how to behave on the waters... it was worse than on the Ijsselmeer or the Northsea....

Yes, I fear my days of attempting to Bag any M's have well and truly passed!

I used to swim in both Loch Ness and the river Ness... and it's where I learned to sail, too! That water is, without a doubt, the COLDEST I have ever come across!

Mirri, I hope you and 'bump' are well and that you are slowing down slightly now?!

What a great list biggrin.gif I`ve did a few, still a lot to go though unsure.gif

One of the most memorable landing on Barra is definitely up there thumbs_up.gif

aye.. we're taking time off from the daily hassle and lounge around on the couch alot (with one of them electrical heating pillows in my back biggrin.gif )

I learned sailing on the Ijsselmeer but 2 years ago me and some friends hired a boat up here and sailed up the caledonian canal.. it was great
