Well they did make it known that Michael Flatly wouldn't be there so I wasn't expecting it but I was expecting live music. Even the tap tap tap of the dancers was dubbed. I was expecting so much better and thought I might be moved to tears... Oh well...

On a positive note I did buy the Riverdance "Live from Beijing" BRD and was not the least disappointed. Highly recommend it. A lot cheaper too. smile.gif

Well... Saw the show. Absolutely awful. Canned music over a blaring sound system. That's right. Got to pay $46 to watch people lip sync and tap dance to a cd. Looked like a Jr. High School production. Even the fiddlers appeared to be dubbed.

Got to watch a 3 min movie of Flatley. Wow....

Glad to help. I agree with offering the service to others at no cost - If the service hadn't been offered for free when I first found the station I never would have started listening in the first place. Thank's for all your dedication and hard work.

I own a copy of "A Fiddle Affair" and the best description I have is that it is very "sweet". A lovely collection of fiddle playing with no harshness or edginess yet hardly boring. Also, I never get that "I've heard this before" sense that I get when newly released songs all appear to be replicas of other music out there.

I plan on purchasing Stonemason's Daughter. Kiérah has set the bar high with her previous work. If her new release is anywhere close it will be a delight.

QUOTE (Donajhi @ 17-Mar-2013, 10:20 AM)
Facebook is nothing but a badly written comic book, but then again I do like to stir up trouble there every once in a while.

I signed up for Facebook, figured out how it worked and thought "This is it????" I mean it works but I was rather disappointed after all the hype. Anyway I dropped it because I do not like the idea of everyone using a single service that you must log into and they can keep all your conversations for life if they want. WAY too much power in way too few people's hands.

As an "enforcer" from a country that uses creative interrogation techniques was quoted "What we used to torture people for we get for free on Facebook"

I listen to both Highlander and Celtic Radio on a regular basis and rarely hear something that I don't like. If not for the variety I would not listen very long.

I am now listining the the Celtic Chrismas music on Highlander and enjoy it sooo much. I was listening to the local FM station nonstop Christmas music and had to turn it off after hearing Rockin around the Christmas Tree and Holly Jolly Christmas for the 37the time...

True. Especially big family breakfasts w/all the trimmings and a big fresh pot of coffee, sizzling bacon, hot toast, pancakes hot off the grill w/ real maple syrup.... How could it be anything BUT my favorite meal?

You yell bad things at your computer when it acts up.

Greetings from another Celtic music lover. I tuned into this site and now rarely listen to anything else. Hope things are going well in Sunny Scotland. I'm not familiar with the climate in your neck of the woods. Is it truly sunny there?

For me it's the fiddle. I love the different moods it can be played for everything form sad ballads to dance.

I like the pipes too but only for a short while.

Cute Quiz although I spend time in the South on business and after I while I told someone I was "fixin" to do something. Couldn't believe I let that slip out. The locals gave me a hard time about it. smile.gif
