Hi I am ultimately interested in good Celtic music that I stream and re-transmit on my home 15 watt FM stereo transmitter. The reason is to write my PhD thesis with nice (and inspirational) music in the background. I have found that the best music is on highlander radio, good work people! The downside is the closure at 15:00 our time and routine anthem etc. This is very strange but still, it is all good in the end.
I use a converted USB digital TV dongle to receive my station on the work computer. All very cool.
I have attached a pictur of the internet receiver>transmitter 94.1 MHZ and kitchen Lafayette 1970's radio.
Keep up the good work.
Phil.

Howdy to you, Phil, from the great Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona! So glad to have you with us and hope you will continue to enjoy all the good things the site has to offer.

I have a good friend who lives in or around Darwin. We stay in touch pretty well even though the time difference is a bit of a challenge.

Welcome aboard and have a great day!!

Welcome shielphi and very much appreciate you taking the time to explain your setup with a picture. Love hearing how people listen to the stream and make the best use of it. And we have had many people work on their PhD thesis while listening to Highlander Radio. Maybe Celtic music is good for that.

You bring up a good point about our end of broadcast day. Our work on Highlander Radio spans years and that was one of the early ideas to play the U.S. National Anthem. But now that we are listened to Globally maybe we should think about changing that!

Thanks for mentioning that and please, a big welcome to the site!
