Hello all,

I am looking for the words to the Prayer the McManus bros. repeatedly used in the Movie The Boondock Saints. Can anyone post it verbatim?

Thanks in advance! biggrin.gif

Hi,

SpéilGorm here. I was just curious if anyone would like to meet me in the chat room. I was there one time before, and my bf arrived right then! I had to cut the discussion short (God I hope the person with whom I was chatting did not become offended!).

Yours,

SpéilGorm

Hello all, biggrin.gif

I have just posted in the Middle Ages section of this forum about Women who wore bright red in Medieval times. Of course, I hadn't thought to introduce myself until after I did so! LOL biggrin.gif

Anyways, I thought I'd drop by for some translation help, but that'll be for another section...

Blessings,

SpéilGorm

Hello all,

As you know, I am new to this forum. And whilst perusing the forum areas, and trying NOT to get myself lost in the process, I stumbled upon this part of the site with a question already in mind to ask. Soooooo here goes!

In the middle ages, why (mostly what Social Class) did women wear BRIGHT RED?

Not DARK like maroon etc., not PINK, but BRIGHT like what was worn by the ladies on the Oscars red carpet this year.

My impression is that the Brighter the colours the higher both PRICE and VALUE would be back then. Right? I have never heard of the lower classes of the Medieval times wearing bright colours. Especially red. A friend of mine says that it could be the Adulteress colour, or representing the Upper Class with a particular duty such as Lady in Waiting to a Queen. Are the two of us right?

Thanks in advance! biggrin.gif

Yours,

SpéilGorm
