OK folks. As a long term member I have gotten the ball rolling with a $10 donation. So lets hear from all you modem users if you truely enjoy tuning in.

Bare in mind Paul has done a ton of work to keep it totally free up to this point by jumping through loads of hoops.

As many of the older members know the net radio industry faced grave issues awhile back with fights against the recording industry and this forced stations like Paul's to have to jump into groups that payed for the use of the songs. And this is what started all this but even after that Paul still managed to do his part by keeping it free for you all. now is time to help Paul help you by sending in a small donation to help him bare the brunt of this to stay compliant. So come on if I who is going to broadband soon can give $10 surely you can give a couple bucks.

If we take the cost at $178 this includes the extra $10 Paul figured in for possible other expenses that may get tagged on this leaves a balance of $168 to keep open the 24k stream. So come on open your wallets and chip in a buck or two even. Help Paul help you. biggrin.gif

*looks at her bank account balance...*
Next month??
But I still think of other methods to save it ((hosting it herself is one of them... maybe on the server of a friend?))

Thats another option. If someone has a friend or knows someone with alot of bandwidth to spare..we are talking industrial strength T3 bandwidth....and would like to host the shoutcast stream it is very easy to setup the software required.

I will do my best.. and I am quite sure that I find some solution...
I just don't know if it's a good or a bad one...

Just a note that we have added a pop-up window to our main page for the fund raising effort. I really don't like pop-ups, but I thought it would be a good way to get everyone's attention. I am going to run this until Sunday and then remove the code. I will try to get some code in their so it displays just once, but may not have time before Sunday.
