The Highland Games for Alaska are held each year on the 4th Saturday in June. We have Massed Bands (Personal Favorite) , Highland Dancing, Heavy Games and Food. Lots and Lots of Food and . If you're in the area stop in. Only a short 3.5 hour plane ride from Seattle and the maximum daylight for that time is 19 hours, 21 minutes.

I've been there. Lived in Fairbanks for 3 years when I was in the Army. Played with the Fairbanks Red Hackle Pipe Band.

I like Anchorage. It's a nice town. I plan to be in Alaska sometime in the summer of 2005. We're bringing my son up there as a high school graduation present so he can see where he was born.
