"The consciousness of having discharged that duty which we owe to our country is superior to all other considerations." --George Washington, letter to James Madison, 1788 Please take time to thank a service man/woman or vet today. Slàinte, Patch |

Thanks, Patch. I'm afraid that memorial Day has largely become a day for picnics and family gatherings. There is certainly nothing wrong with that, but We should remember those that have made it possible for us to enjoy these activities. Since I live on the Navajo Nation, I would like to publicly thank the Navajo Code Talkers and all the other Native American Code Talkers that have served this country with such honor. Warriors who loved and still love a country that has not always done them right. God bless you!! |

It only takes a moment to say thank you, God Bless, or take care when you see someone in uniform. I always get a big smile in return. |
