Cornwall is my second most favourite place after my homeland, Scotland!

We go down to Cornwall at least once a year - to the same small fishing village, where we keep a boat.

Our family grew up alongside many of the children of the village - and they are still strong friendships today.

Hello Catriona! I know almost nothing about Cornwall! I hope to learn more about it through your forum. It was the setting of a book I read once by Charles De Lint called The Little Country. Good book, but that's the extent of my knowledge of Cornwall!

I'm sure I'm not the only one on the forum who isn't exactly sure where Cornwall is, so I went on the internet to check it out. Came across this page that explains it pretty well.

Thank you so much, Mike! I was way too embarrassed to ask where Cornwall was. I tried looking it up in the dictionary and on my globe and I still couldn't find it. You site told me where and what to do there. Thank you so very much! beer_mug.gif

Catriona, is there any website for Cornwell or an office I could contact to pick
up the trail of my Grandparents from 1550 to the 1300?
I'm stuck at about 1550-1490 when Edmund Isbell was born to, John Isbell
and Julia Benny in East Newlyn, Cornwell, England.
I would greatly appreciate any guidance. Thank you.

You are joking me right? I live in East Newlyn (Actual name is Newlyn East)

It's a tiny village near newquay.

This is amazing!

WOW! Your descendants are from my village!

Btw its Cornwall, not cornwell.
