From out the mist my lassies lips,
so soft upon my own.

Can rest assured I shall not hide,
dare someone threaten home.

From out the mist the pipers call,
to rally all to arms.

Can rest assured my love so dear,
I shall not stand alone.

From out the mist let missiles rain,
to test our will to hold.

Can rest assured well test their skill,
with sword and shield in hand.

From out the mist the prayers abound,
for love of blood stained ground.

Can rest assured I’ll die or stand,
dare someone take our land.

J.C.
I just read "From out the Mist" . It made me close my eyes and look back to the day in July 1963 when I stood on the Hallowed Blooded ground of Culloden Moor and last October I stood beside the Bannockburn with tears in my eyes as I remembered that both my families stood there with The Bruce. Thank you my Friend.

Camac.

You’re welcome is most meaningful, when said with open arms.

What a wonderful poem Johnny. I am thinking this one is going to be one of my favorites that you wrote. It must be nice to be so gifted with words.

Thank you for posting this.
