I'm listening to my White Sox playing the Seattle Mariners. 1-0 Sox in the bottom of the 4th.

Hi CelticRose,

What kind did you get? Is it jog proof all that goodstuff? I am needing one for my treadmill and not sure what is good anymore. What made you decide on the one you have?

Hey Rindy! Mike here helped me get the one I got. It is jog proof and all that stuff. Mine is a Panasonic SL SX431C model. They supposedly are not making that model anymore, but hubby found one site where they were still selling them and I got it! I will try to find the site for you and you can read all the reviews on the different ones. wink.gif

Hi Celtic Rose,

Thanks so much. Don't go to a bunch of looking. I can do that. I have dropped mine twice, it still works but I think I could do better.. Might make working out a little better.
I will search for it.
Thank you for the information...

"Dimensions in Jazz" on iTunes radio tuner. They play the kind of jazz I like, the more traditional bebop. Like it says on the billboards for this one energy drink, I become agitated when exposed to smooth jazz. None of that Kenny G garbage for me! yucky.gif

I'll be getting a new portable CD player soon too, but not because I wanted one.

We had some guys in our house, a neighbor and his employee, doing some painting in my bedroom. When I came home that afternoon, my CD player was not where I left it. I looked all over the house and in my car for it, but I am convinced that my neighbor's helper stole it. My neighbor said he'd replace it, but he swore up and down that his guy didn't take it. I won't be suprised if he discovers his helper has a new Panasonic CD player. It was in very good condition. I bought it last summer and I only dropped it a couple of times, both onto padded surfaces.

I'll also have to replace my Metallica Ride The Lightning CD too, because a quick inventory of my CD wallets (which I carry with me in my backpack) revealed that one was in my CD player at the time. That was going to need to be replaced soon anyway. I've played it so much (it's my favorite Metallica album), I'm suprised I hadn't burned a hole through the disc.

Currently listening to Onward -- Evermoving.

Unfortunately, right now I'm limited to only listening from my mp3 library. Normally when listening like this, I'd use the CD. Except my DVD player died just before I took my trip :'( Think I've found what I want to replace with though smile.gif

I normally don't worry as much about high end audio when it comes to portable, or in the car. But at home, I want to go all the way.

That's too high end for me (coming from a guy who'd do anything for an iPod and Bose noise cancelling headphones biggrin.gif walkman.gif )

BTW, I'm listening to "All Things Considered" on NPR (streaming from my local NPR station, www.chicagopublicradio.org.

Oh Mike, that is very sad news. Are you going to get the same kind. I can tell you where I got mine. They are still available. Or do you want to wait till the new models come out. I love mine and love the remote control on the cord, which actually makes the cord longer However, I did switch my head phones to the ear plug kind. I get better sound out of those. I am like you, I would give anything to have an iPod but I just can't afford that any time in the future.

I am listening to Runrig right now on Highlander radio. Love them!

The new model is out, so I'm hoping my neighbor buys that.

Another thing I LOVED about my CD player was that it sipped batteries. I only changed them two or three times!
