If you're up for a bit of scenic driving, please join IONA and a myriad of other performers/artisans/dancers/workshops et al at the Garrett County Celtic Festival Saturday, 1/6 at Friendsville Community Park, Friendsville, MD. They perform on the main stage at 12:30 pm and will accompany Marsha Searle's dance workshop at 2 pm. gccelticfestival.com

The Swift Run Celtic House Concerts start next month on 6/8 at 7:30 pm at Swift Run Lodge in Fairfax Station, VA. Please email Barbara Ryan at or call 703-426-1450 for address and reservations. They request a donation of $20/each for the performers. Please bring a folding chair, picnic and BYOB for full enjoyment. She'll also bake desserts and serve snacks, fruit and soft drinks gratis. Concerts will be outdoors on their amphitheater deck in the woods weather permitting, in the house if not.

They open the season with Scottish/Celtic Fiddle and Cello Duo, Elizabeth and Ben Anderson. Rising stars of the Boston music scene. These siblings blend Scottish and Irish tunes with lively rhythms and innovative harmonies to create an original sound rooted in tradition, but inspired by the contemporary.
