Do you remember some of the things you were taught as a youngster, then found that they were not true at all? Here is one of mine... The only stupid question is the one not asked (or, there is no such thing as a stupid question) Boy is that ever so wrong! In the "real" world I have experienced that sometimes there is such a thing as a stupid question. In my first real job after getting married and out of college, I asked my boss a question and his response was, "That's a stupid question!" Well needless to say I was dumbfounded. I always believed the adage about there being no stupid questions. Experience has shown me that there are. What have you learned in life? Are there things you assumed to be a truism and found out they were not? Share them here. |

This is what I came up with... "Crying about it won't make you feel any better." Sure it will, if someone wants to cry let them do so. |
