I am so sorry for your loss; you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that they are happy. Author Unknown
I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. Leo Buscaglia
May I add my thoughts and prayers for you and your family? Isn't it wonderful to know that you have so many caring and praying for you? God bless.

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.

In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.
John Muir
"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves."
I just wanted to add my condolensces to the rest. I lost my dad when I was around 14, so I didn't really have time to get to know my dad like you did, so I can understand how much harder this is for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Luv you dear! Allen

Rindy -- He has a life in your memory, and a little spark of it is in the memory of everyone who knew him. When you feel like you can, tell us about him too. We're here and thinking about you. stoirmeil
I just want to say thank you all for your thoughts, and prayers and kind words of support. It has helped me very much.
Losing a parent is very hard. The deacon had an example of everytime you cry think of it as your heart having a big hole and everytime you cry it scabs over and heals until finally you are left with a very small hole. It never goes away completely as the memory of them are still with you. Another person said congratulations to Dad on his promotion. I thought that was kind of cool.

Oh sweetie, I just saw this post today - I am so very sorry for your loss. Everyone here has been so eloquent, so I join them in expressing sincere sympathy to you and your family.

"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king..."
Rindy, I am sorry to read about your father. I see some time has past, not a lot but I hope your doing ok. I wish I had been around sooner to have left you a nice card. I am thinking about you

My deepest apologies to you and your family. Losing a parent is so difficult, no matter what the age. Here is a little poem I have posted elsewhere on here that you might find some small comfort from these words:
I’m Free
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free I’m following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard him call I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My Life’s been full, I savored much. Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me God wanted me now, He set me free.
Thank you so very much Celtic Radio. That is a comforting poem. I really appreciate the support that I've found here on Celtic Radio. Your all the best! Thanks again.
Dear Rindy, I apologize because I've just known about your Dad... There are no words to describe what happens inside us in these moments.. I've lost mine when I was 14 and every day he's in my memories.... I'm very sorry for you and your family Rindy. I'm near you with all my heart.... iolanda
