I suppose it's time I said hi to ya'll. I've done a couple of posts on other topics, but I haven't quite introduced myself yet. I suppose I should start by answering the obvious question when folks meet each other ("What do you do?"). I'm in the military -- working on my 21st year now and looking forward to retiring soon and working for no one but me myself and I. Beyond work (business is quite good now), I am very interested in all things Irish/Celtic. I have taught myself how to draw celtic knotwork which I transfer onto cloth and embroider or I transfer it onto canvas and paint. Can't say that I'm very good at it, but I do love doing it. I also enjoy Mountmellick embroidery. I love spending a great deal with my friends and family and I feel truly blessed that I have found this website. I have found a new love of genres in celtic music that I never dipped into before.

Well that's enough for the time being. Again, HEY clap.gif and I like this place.

Welcome, Madadh and roguepagan! Madadhl, your avatar looks great! roguepagan, I've enjoyed your posts so far.

Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the hand on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow
Who shall gather the smoke of the dead wood burning
Or behold the flowing years from the Sea returning?

Hi Ocean! At the top go into Member Services and hit avatar. There will be a large selection of avatars for you to choose from. Then to use quotes and colors and so forth. The easiest way to do this is to type your message and then take your mouse and highlight the whole paragraph or sentence you want coded and click one of the selections on top, such a B for bold, I for italics, etc. I hope that made sense and hope this helps. Have any other questions, feel free to ask me or anyone else here. good luck!
