I'm curious to hear experiences of any members who have had DNA testing performed. There are a number of testing sites here in the States, so I wanted to hear about the pros and cons of testing.

I've yet to do it- Our Henderson Clan Society of North America has a project for Clan Henderson and all septs available to members of the society. I beleive it could be a good way to get started in research especially for those of us who have very little to go on.

Ancestry.com has a section devoted to DNA testing now. I'm leaning toward doing it just to get some confirmation or ending speculation with regards to ethnic heritage. I know there are a lot of companies out there doing this kind of thing, but Ancestry is a pretty big dog in this thing, it seems to me.

Looking forward to hearing what others have to say.
