We received a direct appeal tonight from the "Save Scotland's Regiments" campaign that is currently underway in Scotland.

In case you are not familiar with what is happening, please read this article from Scotman.com:

Basically, the UK is proposing the abolishment of many historic Scotland Regiments that predate the Union of the Crowns and really are the tradition and culture of Scotland.

The "Save Scotland's Regiments" campaign wrote to us tonight and asked us to raise the awareness of our members about this important issue currently underway in Scotland:

All the information can be found at their site:

I am also including a recent article about Scotland's current state of affairs, history and background from Human Events online:

Thanks for taking the time to read through these important links.

My family and I, are just members of the public, who have been so outraged at the proposals for Scotlands LAST six infantry regiments, that we felt we must do something to alert Scots and their friends worldwide .There is a official campaign being led by ex-service and service personnel and friends, to petition the U.K. government; and to write to Members of Parliament and Government ministers, such as the Armed Forces Minister, Mr.Ingram and the Minister for Defence ,Mr.Geoff Hoon.
You may be wondering what you can do?If you are working in the U.S. but can vote in our U.K. election, then you can vote tactically. So see you are registered to vote in the next few days (likely election 5th May).
If you or a friend is in London on business or visiting on 9th April, we would love to see you at the rally.
If you can write a letter of complaint to our Prime Minister or government that would be great.Or,if your local politician would like to ask Mr.Bush what will happen if his close ally has under-estimated the public on this issue and loses the elction, then that might set some bells ringing in the Pentagon and Westminster.

Thank you everyone.
