Ohio senate passage of the public sector union restriction bill the hardest hurdle in getting the bill passed. House passage is thought to be a slam dunk. With the governors approval assured it will soon be law.
It appears that Wisconsin's governor will not give in, and other states are mounting opposition to public sector unions. Indiana did away with public sector unions after Mitch Daniels became governor and now they are looking at changing their pension and health care systems.
At the very least, large numbers of public sector employees, including teachers, will be laid of or terminated. Though sad, when there is no money, the spending must stop.
It certainly seems that times are changing in America and not necessarily in the direction that the obama administration would like.
Slàinte,
Patch
