Before I tell anything about my self, I have to say that this is a very cool site... from the awesome music to the unique community system. It is actually taking me way too long to type this as I keep refreshing the front page so that I can rate all the songs as they play. Not sure why, but I'm a nut when it comes to rating songs and such online.
Anyway, my real name is Rob and I'm from Virginia. Ancestry traces back to County Limerick in Ireland and for about 4 years now I've been feeling a calling to visit. Circumstances have prevented it so far, but I won't call it unfortunate as those circumstances were the births of my daughters, who are now 4 and almost 3.
I recently took over as webmaster for The Council of Scottish Clans and Associations, or COSCA. I'm still changing the site to a new look which should be up within the next week or two. If you want to take a look at what COSCA does/offers, check out the website at http://www.cosca.net/.
I guess that's enough chattering on for now.
I'm glad I found this site and look forward to being involved in many good conversations.
Hello Rob! We're glad that you've found us. You've just joined the best forum on the net, and the music isn't half bad either. Hope you enjoy it here, and I look forward to reading more of your posts. Welcome to the family!
Weclome to you Rob. I am so happy you found this site.. I hope you enjoy all of the music as well as the great people that are so warm and friendly. Thank you for the link to the site also. I will be looking forward to learning more about you..
BTW....I was at your site this weekend. I was trying to get info on upcoming festivals but didn't have much luck, maybe because you are working on it? I am interested in COSCA and will be checking out your handiwork often. I do have a question for you.....how did you become involved with COSCA when your ancestors are from Ireland?
