I thought I had started one a long time ago! LOL

Allen I love that painting of Merlin and the owls! What a great avatar that would make! I changed my username when I first came on and it didn't affect anything. You could probably still do it if you wanted.........I think.

I used to be an electrician and one of the guys that i worked with gave it to me. He knew that i loved pro wrestling, (yes yes i have redneck vices, my family is from Alabama) and started calling me Big Jim Hainey. I liked the way that sounded as compared to the other nickname i was using at the time, deltadawg(the company that i was in during basic training was the Delta Dawgs). I actually met someone online that thought they knew me cuz her teacher had married a Jim Hainey laugh.gif .

Well mine came from the Herald of Valdemar books from Mercedes Lackey. Monarch's Own is the name of the highest ranking Herald and advisor and friend to the monarch.

Since I liked the books so much I choose that name.

also have other names as

Arrowofthequeen
winterladyfox
tigerladyunchained
runningredvixen
whitegryphon

to name a few. But Monarch's Own is my oldest name of them. it was my first one I picked.

Mine is rather mundane as well. It's just my first and middle name put together. Although in some other things I go as irishdancer140 because I love to irish dance and January 14 is my birthday and 14 is always taken so I just add a 0.

Mine's not too original, save for the language it's in. I just translated my name into Ancient Egyptian, as my real name has way too many vowels to be able to write well.

My name is Erik, and I am a Dane. Erick Blood Axe was the son of Harald Blue Tooth, King of the Danes. Erick was made famous in Egil's Saga with the Blood Ransom Poem. Egil composes the poem overnight and recites it the next day. Erick recognizes the pome has made him famous and spares Egils life.
So Erik is the first traffic cop, who as you all know, will let you go if you can come up with a good story that we haven't heard before. rolleyes.gif

Mine came from a character in a story I began about a year or so ago and never picked back up until recently. His full name is Haldur, Prince of Ithilian and son of Palamir the King. Basically, this character possesses magical powers passed down from the Tuatha De Danaan, or fae (otherwise known as faeries) to help protect against the Dark Evil. I could go on and on with the synopsis, but that's what I'm writing it for...so that one day all might read it!

Some ask if Haldur is representative of the author and I would have to say he is not in many ways, but is in some. You'll just have to wait and see!

Ein talei anewi
Vi' nu'ros dilum paith obscurn

There is a stone path wrought of death
Many will travel the road
One shall find it
Low in the dark, hidden lands

- words of Briehe, Queen of the Danaan Fae

Yeah, JPMoore! Just email Macfive and he can do it for you. Well he did mine a long time ago. Sometimes I wished I had left it alone as I am known as desertrose on other sites. Oh well. Either way, people call me Rose, which is part of my name anyway..........Rosemary. smile.gif
