Thanks to Celtic Radio, I've recently become exposed to Blackmore's Night... I just love and adore their "Now and Then" song... and I'm interested in picking up more of their repertoire, but there's so much and I don't know where to start! smile.gif

What are your favorite tracks from their albums?

First of all I'd like to welcome you to Celtic Radio Joanne25. I like so many songs of Blackmores Night. But my favorite has always been All For One off of the album Ghost of A Rose. It's one of those songs that has been embedded in my mind forever. I hope you enjoy the great folks here on the forum as well.

My top three BN songs are Fires at Midnight, their version of The Times are a'Changing (which I think is thier best video) and The Village Lantern. The first song off thier new album is growing on me too. the one about the Highlands-I can't remember the name right now and I don't have the CD yet but its the first song on there.

And wouldn't you know it but BN just started playing on Celtic Rock radio right now as I was typing this. Coincidence?

The number that for me will always be their best is "Fires at Midnight"- it's the song that made me become a fan. The whole mystical atmosphere they create with that song is wonderful.
Besides that, It's hard for me to name what other songs I consider "their best" - I really like "Faery Queen", as well as "Play Minstrel Play".

Anyone here ever been to one of their "castle tour" shows? I've attended 2 of them in Germany, and, IMHO, there's no better way to experience their music then them playing it live in the courtyard of an old castle.

They do have a lot to chose from, but the one's I've heard are great. I like most of their songs, but Ghost of a Rose, Sister Gypsy, and Diamonds and Rust, Ocean Gypsy are probably my favorites.

Ghost of a Rose is still my favorite CD of theirs. "Ivory Tower" and the title track are awesome.
