It may be about time, but I hope it only stays as long as the Olympics. I'm proud and all, but it's juts not who we are to brag. When this is all over, I'll go back to loving Canada, and be happy when someone notices when we do something respectable, but leave it at that. Self-respect is about not needing the world's approval.
That said, we're doing awesome! Six Gold! Our athletes are doing us very proud.

I know it's not our way but it sure feels good to bust loose once and awhile. Like the PM said we will apologize to the world for our uncharacteristic behaviour after the Olympics. GO CANADA.
For the first time since the late 70's I watch a men's hockey game and I have to admit that I was jumping up and down cheering us on. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also watched the end of the Women's Bobsled and saw our girls kick butt. As unlike us as it is we deserve to do some boasting and I don't think the PM will have to apologize to the world for our "Uncharacteristic Behaviour". It also seems that NBC"s Tom Brokaw explains Canada to America is very popular on Youtube and Twitter. My Stepdad had a saying "If it's Canadian, It has to be Good".
I'm watching Ladies Curling right now, Canada vs Sweden (and have spectated the above mentioned as well ). Men's Hockey is next, Canada vs Slovakia, WHOOO HOOOOO !!!! Canada is doing just FABULOUS!!!! I'm lovin' every minute of it!!! GO CANADA!!!!
The Cdn Women's Curling Team got Silver. I don't know about others but I could have sworn I saw a Gremlin ( or perhaps a Troll) sitting on that last rock. Mischievious little boogers. All in all a damn good game and congrats to Sweden.
