Doodling, and wastin' time

This is so much fun! Even if it's hard to control at first. Just what I needed -- another way to waste time.

That is totally cool. I tried to play around with it and ended up with something that looked more childish than my 8-year-old could do. I'm definitely going to have to practice before I show her that website or she will put me to shame. Now, my 11-year-old daughter is quite the artist - I don't dare show her!

Your thistle looked great!!! You really figured out how to work that paintbrush... what I tried looked like my cat had painted it.

stoirmeil, looks like you got the hang of it . Neat picture. I like to doodle on the "paint" section of the computer. This is really neat.

I modifyed my avatar (so she had clothes on) on my computer. I also wiped the smile off the Mona Lisa and (by request) put a pipe in her mouth.

This is a fascinating doodle, Lil. It kind of reminds me of some abstract patterns that I tend to doodle -- not the form so much, but the kind of "rules" I follow when sequencing the pen or brush strokes, what can cross what, etc.

The really cool thing about this program is that it lets you follow the way the painter built up the painting. You can see their mind operating. I love that.

Wow! How did you get that lettering so neat? I think I need a new mouse. . .

I really like this. It's very delicate, the border -- I also like the color you chose for the background, like old parchment.

Ok, now that's all I needed. I used to be into art when I was younger, but wived, kids, houses, careers, school, golf, etc etc. just took over. But I tried this anyway, so be prepared to laugh!

It was fun, and I liked the ones I've seen here. Will try again later and share that embarrassment too.

That is really beautiful and eerie. This is one where you want to let the program run and watch how she builds it up, right from the unclosed circle at the very beginning.
