| Pelosi made a claim per video feed shown on Fox News tonight that the Wall St. protesters and the Tea Party acted in the same manner. She again brought up the alleged incident where tea party demonstrators were accused of spitting on legislators on the capitol steps. The incident would have taken place in front of many media cameras and cameras operated by Tea Party members. Though a substantial reward was offered, no one could ever verify that the incident happened. Tea Party demonstrators have not been arrested though a large number of the wall st. protesters have. Tea Party demonstrators have not trashed the area where they demonstrated but the wall street protesters have. It is quite a reach to to say both groups act in the same manner. Some Democrat legislators are verbally supporting them but obama has been very careful not to do so beyond stating that he understands Americans frustration over the economy and jobs. I believe the protests will continue to grow but if arrests continue or if violence escalates it may harm the D's more than help them. I really hope that does not happen We certainly live in interesting times. Slàinte, Patch |
