Hope everyone has an enjoyable St Patrick's Day. I leave tomorrow for Boqueron, Puerto Rico, where I've been invited (all expenses paid, including air fare, room & board) to pipe their St. Patrick's Day parade. First time in years I won't be in downtown Dunedin at Flanagan's Irish Pub (I'll be there in spirit though; I'm taking a Flanagan's 'St Patrick's Day' and a 'Dunedin Brewery' T-shirt with me).

When I was young, I admired clever people. Now that I am old, I admire kind people. -Abraham Joshua Heschel (1907-1972) Theology Professor
I think this is such wonderful news Emmet. Knock their socks off! I'm sure ya will. This sounds like it would be so fun. That's a great picture. Travel safe and I will look forward to hearing how it all went. Happy St. Patricks Day to you!
Have a great and safe trip, wish I was going with you. I have always loved the pipes, wish I would have learned to play them.
Wherever you go and whatever you do, May the luck of the Irish be there with you.

I once again turn up a day late (and a dollar short!), but would like to say that I hope everyone was able to enjoy a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!
I wish I could have been there to hear you and see the parade, Emmet. Where I live - 2 miles from the outskirts of nowhere at all, at all - I seem to be the lone celebrant of the occassion. I saw almost no green on anyone while I went about my business wearing my Irish Rugby Team Jersey.
Oh well, when I put me to bed tonight I'll raise a tot of Irish Mist to all the ancestors that came before, my family, my friends and, of course, the good people of Celtic Radio! Slainte!
