Ha Ha Ha laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I see these really are universal issues! I appreciate all your input here folks, ladies too.

Well, let me bring up one more topic.

The sensitive, caring man; myth or fact.

Personally, I think it is contrived. Most males do not feel things in the same way females do. That's not to say they don't have feelings, its just that they are, well, different. Anyway, I have really noticed this since living down here and it stands out as a big difference culturally.

Down here if a man comes across as one of those sensitive, types or worse, actually weeps tears during any sort of confrontation with someone of the secondary gender, well, buddy, you just lost. Even the women make fun of that here. On the other hand, myself, being of that Scottish extraction (and here by the way is something for Catriona if she reads this; there are a lot of cultural type habits or ways that do seem to go from generation to generation). My wife gets upset at me because she says I don't argue like other men, latins tend to be fairly vocal and demonstrative, but when she gets upset about something and starts off, I generally just don't say anything, or else go out behind the house until the situation cools off. I can never think of anything I really want to say, even though I may be feeling angry, words just don't come out.

Kind of like that one old joke about the little Scottish boy that comes home from school and tells his mom that he got a part in the school play.

She asks him what part he got and he says he will be playing the husband of the lead character in the production.

His mother looks at him for a few minutes, then with a really stern look says, "You go right back to that school and you tell your teacher you want a speaking part!

OK gents... how do you deal with the nose hair, ear hair and the "yuk" back and shoulder hairs?

Do we let the feminine side of our relationships pluck, pull and yank out the hairs that have had the smarts to migrate from our heads to warmer climates... I will refrain from mentioning the southern most local that the hairs seem to find most attractive!!! wink.gif

I don't get butt sweats. The most uncomfortable thing I get is athlete's foot. I use the athlete's foot sprays with the deodorant and Odor-Eaters™ Plus, which in addition to fighting foot odor and athlete's foot, provides support for my feet. They are nice and comfortable biggrin.gif .

I think we otta just admit it. We're men, come on guys, say it out loud, we are men. We don't got no feminine side. That is bunk that has been foisted on us for years to make us feel guilty about stuff we ain't got no control over.

As far as I am concerned, I generally let those hairs go on mindin' their own business. I figure there must be some sort of cosmic reason behind their growth in those other regions. After millions of years of evolution, who am I to try and second guess, or make changes. On the other hand, I do trim the ones that sometimes grow really long out of my earlobes, but that is just because they look kinda funny in the mirror.

I thought you were saying something else when what you meant was our wimmen folk. OK OK I got ya now.

In answer to that, I would say it doesn't really hurt anything if it makes em happy to pluck and tweek and pinch and all that stuff that always reminds me of chimpanzees picking nits out their hair. Hey, if it makes em happy what the heck, it ain't really hurting anything as long as they don't try and do it in front of our friends and stuff.

So, can I tell my husband to quit making me trim his nose/ear/wayward eyebrow hair for him? biggrin.gif I don't care if he has it.

wink.gif Chill wink.gif No problem!

I have a video of my wife and 2 of my 3 daughters sitting on the floor infront of the wood stove preaning and picking ... I said into the microphone " and here we see the apes of the "family room " going through the ritual of primate cleansing and pest removal! wink.gif tongue.gif laugh.gif

If my wife wants to prean and pick... well I won't complain, just not in public ! wink.gif

Well, he is probably doing this because at some point in his life he learned it as a survival technique tongue.gif . Or, it could be that he just enjoys the attention and closeness of your tweaking and trimming. My advice would be to think of it as one of those romantic tender moments and sorta go with the flow tongue.gif. Between you and me, I sorta enjoy it too, until she starts on the occasional zit, now that is just too gross.

I have to admit that my Wife trims my ear hairs when she cuts my hair. I tell if she don't then I will just have to braid them. tongue.gif

But when it comes to my nose hairs and those wild hairs that grows around the eyes, that is my job. And I trim my own beard too. I haven't got the knack of cutting my own head hair yet. wink.gif
