Any fans out there? I especially love the Nocturnes. I've got the whole nocturne album and I don't know what it is I just find them so beautiful and inspiring. Although it's but one piano and nothing else you can feel so much emotion in the notes.

If we could just stand here, without the words, would that be enough? ..Look at the sky now. What color is it? Or the way a hawk flies. Or you wake up and your ribs are bruised thinking so hard on somebody. What do you call that?

Hallo,
Ciamar a tha thu?
S'mise Raff. Tha mi as an sealainn nuadh....
Im Raff from New Zealand.

Well i would just like to say I love Chopin too. I have his nocturnes collection aswell......by Claudio Arrau.....do you know this performer?? I think he does the best rendition of Chopin.
The Mazurkas are also beautiful as are the waltzes and etudes.
Arrau also plays Shumann and Grieg beautifully too so i could recommend those definitely.

Slainte,

I'm afraid I haven't heard much of Chopin's music as to have formed an opinion about it. Is there a good place to start looking at his works?

Interesting to find somethin about Chopin on a Celtic site! Anyway, I love Chopin. I am a music major - majoring in Theory and History. I always wanted to play Chopin on the piano - so I listen to others and dream!
