inner peace comes from your lord and savior.

THE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS!

The coming of Jesus, born in a stable, wrapped in strips of cloth, and cradled in a cattle feeding trough, His cruel death for our sins, and His resurrection from the dead to give us eternal life is the meaning of Christmas.
In Gen. 3:15 (the first book of the Old Testament), the power of darkness was told, ?That One born of woman would arise and crush him and his rebellion (against God) under His feet,? In Mal. 4:2 (the last book of the Old Testament), the chosen people of God were told, ?To you who revere and worshipfully fear My Name says Jehovah, the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings.? This was the first promise of Christmas!
?And there were shepherds living out in the fields near Bethlehem, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord.? (Lk. 2:8-11)
?O' little town of Bethlehem?, in thy dark streets shineth the everlasting light. The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.? This was the first Christmas! ?Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift (the gift of His Son)!? (II Cor. 9:15)
Those who remove Jesus from this, His, place of preeminence in Christmas withdraw themselves from the real meaning of Christmas.
The tragedy, of our time, is not in the addition of the things that make up the Christmas celebration, but that in many lives these things mean as much in themselves, if not more, than the simple and wonderful message of love and promise in Jesus Christ!
??Christ Jesus, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped (or held onto), but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant (by), being made in human likeness.? (Phil. 2:5-7) This is Christmas!
?And being found in human form, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death-even death on a cross!? (for our sins) (Phil. 2:8) This is the meaning of Christmas!
?Christ died for all (Jew and Gentile, young and old, rich and poor), that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for the One Who died for them and was raised again.? (II Cor. 5:15) This is the meaning of Christmas lived out in the lives of those who profess to be followers of Jesus Christ and who call themselves Christians.
Despite the wonderful atmosphere created by the Christmas season, the festive spirit, giving of gifts, and the singing and merriment this season brings-if Jesus Christ is not our Lord and Savior this day-this Christmas season-we know very little of the true meaning of Christmas!
?Therefore, I urge you, brothers (and sisters), in view of God's mercy (the first Christmas and God's gift to us of His only Son), to give yourselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship (all else is decoration)? (Rom. 12:1).
?And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.? (Col. 3:17) If this is not the primary reason for the way we live, we know very little of the true meaning of Christmas.
Christmas, or the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, is only meaningful because of His death and resurrection. We must not separate His birth from His death for our sins and His resurrection for our life, or we will miss the meaning of Christmas.

?Tell me the story of Jesus, Write on my heart every word;
Tell me the story most precious, Sweetest that ever was heard.
Tell how the angels in chorus Sang as they welcomed His birth,
'Glory to God in the highest! Peace and good tidings to earth.'
Tell of the cross where they nailed Him, Writhing in anguish and pain; Tell of the grave where they laid Him, Tell how He liveth again.
Love in that story so tender, Clearer than ever I see:
Stay, let me weep while you whisper, Love paid the ransom for me.?
(Fanny Crosby)

THIS IS THE inner peace

I would like to be able to request a song directly from the top 100 list.

If it is possible to limit only one pick per hour from the top 100 list to help balance the list.
