And doubtlessly THE worst picture I've taken since my teens, but the scene is cool, so I'll share it. It was taken on that same hike, and I crawled down into this crevice looking down to the lake. You can't tell from here, but my head is about three or four feet lower than soles of Ange's feet. I have no idea why I did this, because I'm incredibly afraid of heights. Oh, and it's not my picture, (obviously), I just set it up. The one I took of Ange and the dog is much better.

................ unsure.gif Why didn't I just post that one?

Both of them are wonderful pics, OR! Boy you were brave in that one photo. I am terrified of heights too, but it made an awesome pic! thumbs_up.gif

Thanks Urian. And no, I have no problem with that. It's actually a really small pic, so I'll upload a larger version when I get a chance.

Rose, thanks again. I took the shot of Ange and the dog from the same perspective, but I had wished she were farther down. I wasn't going to ask her to do that though, so for the sake of a cool shot, I did it myself. tongue.gif I scared myself a few times, both crawling down, and scrambling back up. That's some VERY loose gravel there. blink.gif

And thank you, susieq. smile.gif I'm going to find a few more of these brook pictures. I know there's at least one more good shot around of the water.

Hey OR! You take beautiful pictures. I just bought a digital camera, and I'm waiting for the leaves to turn, so I can start snapping away! If you don't mind, I'm going to use some of your autumn pics for backrounds on my computers. They are really great! thumbs_up.gif cool.gif

This is the '05 Lamborghini Murciellago Roadster that was at the Edmonton Motor Show here two weekends ago. VERY..... nice..... car

Anyway, I discovered why you need a flash indoors, or at least 800iso film. But it was the first time I got to use my macro lens since messing around on Christmas day. That too was a mistake. tongue.gif I should have just stuck with the 1:28 fixed. Oh well. I still enjoy seeing the cars, which was the purpose of taking the pictures. I'll know better for next time. wink.gif There's no such thing as too much light.

Thanks Rose. smile.gif It really is an amazing automobile.

Well, I'm enjoying it a lot. The only thing I need to work on is knowing the application of each piece of equipment. Indoors, always use the flash. Automotive, use a wider focal length than a macro can give you, because you want the whole car to be in focus, not just the front, or door.

Trial and error, right? smile.gif

Hey, did you ever get your flash working on both cameras?

yep, that is what photography and art is all about and how we learn is by trial and error! I have had some of the best stuff I did come out because of error! LOL

Well, I didn't get the flash to work on both cameras. I need to take it to a camera shop but that is an hour from me and I just have been too lazy to drive down there. However, I got my old Canon flash to work again and so I use that one on one camera and the new one I bought on eBay on the other camera. That way I have flashes on both cameras and different lenses on them too. So either way it works out and I am happy! smile.gif thumbs_up.gif

Hi everybody. smile.gif It's been a while since I've been in here, but I finally have some new pictures to share. These first ones are just a few good ones I squeezed out of the digital. wink.gif I took over six rolls of film in the eight days, so when I get those developed, I can share those. I reeeeally hope they turn out.
