We have made some changes at the suggestion of Subhuman.

Countries will now contain only 8 people. Those countries setup with more than 8 people will remain as they are. Inactive players will be deleted and you can choose to move to a new country from the preference menu.

Also, government politics is now set to 1/4 of the population of the country in order for you to set all of the attributes of your country. This include designating people with certain roles, producing a name of your country and also banner.

So with a country of 8 people you will need only 2 votes to lead. Those countries setup with more will need 1/4 of the population to become the leader.

Huh! Pardon me for being slow today but I don't understand one bit of what's written.

What countries??? I'm in the holidays mode at the moment and cannot log in the game so I cannot see what changes has been made.

LOA I'am with you! I don't understand any of this as this is the first game of this kind or any other game I have played. I just starting to understand some of the game and know you want to change it.

The countries are the group idnetified by numbers. For example, I am 1:3:7 and I belong to country 1:3. But I also belong to Clan MacInnes.

Countries are different than Clans.

In countries you have the following:

QUOTE
Voting a leader
if more than half of the players within a country (the same x,y co-ordinates) vote for the same player to be their leader, that person becomes leader, and is able to appoint governors of Income, Diplomacy, and Communications. They are also able to choose a picture to represent their country, and a name for their country.

Governor of income
The governor of income is the only player within a country who can not only donate to people within their own country, but also any other player in the game. This can benifit your country by funding allies or bribing enemies.

Governor of communications
Your governor of communications is able to moderate your forum. This means creating and deleting threads, or editing or deleting posts within threads.

Governor of diplomacy
Your governor of diplomacy can choose another country with which to ally, and a country to declare war on. Having allies to help you in times of need, and enemies to "borrow" workers from will help your country to grow.

This excerpt was taken from the Help page/Politics.

Clans are just loose associations of players that consist of players from any number of countries. This group you should be familiar to you.

Previous posts about players not participating in the game gave rise to the problem that no one could use the country options because there were not necessarily 51% of the country's players even playing. Now that number has been reduced to 25% for the country's players to vote. This means just 2 players can vote for a leader or 3 players for the old 10 member country. There are some countries with more than the ten and will need 25% of the membership to vote,

The original country configuration of 10 players has now been reduced to 8. Countries will maintain what they currently have. In order to keep the game fresh with active players a formula is being introduced that will automatically remove inactive players. This will currently happen every 30 days. New players will automatically be inserted into vacant spots within a country to bring their membership up to 8.

At least, this is my understanding of what is happening.

Both Lady-of-Avalon and Harlot are in country 1:2
(LoA is 1:2:3 and Harlot is 1:2:10)

I have two modes: wiseass and dumbass. Mode is determined by current blood alcohol level.

Drinking is a sport. In order to be competitive, you must practice on a regular basis. Although you can practice alone, it is much more fun to practice with friends. If you're out of shape and practice too hard, you will regret it the next day.

Life is a disease. It is sexually transmitted and always terminal.

Stevenpd Ok I have read what you have posted. One question I have,I have only "clan form" where is the the for country form? And as Subhuman has pointed out LOA and I are from different clans but in the same country. How does that work for us seeing that we are at war with each other? (as you know there isn't any other clan to war with) I'm sure they would not like us to read their form as I would not like them to see ours. Am I making any since too you?

You and Lady-of-Avalon are in the same country (1:2) not the same Clan. You are in Clan Wolf and Lady-of-Avalon is in Clan MacInnes. The grouping of "countries" is a misnomer. Instead of countries it should actually be "counties" or "fiefdoms." I think that this is a little more historically accurate.

To see the options for your country go to the List of pages on the left of the Main Page. Go to Politics, then the Politics Page. You should see a list of everyone that is in your country (1:2). To see the country options, go to the Help Page, Politics. Just as army personnel did not appear until the appropriate research and construction took place before they were available applies for this portion of the game too.

When your country members vote for a leader then the leader gains access to everything as well as the other positions that are available. Members of the same country will see only the material for that country and nothing more. Just as country members can only see the material for their country, Clan members can only see the materials associated with their Clan. Information for countries and Clans are kept separate.

No one that I know of has managed to progress to the point of electing a leader for their country. Therefore, no one knows what the impact of this portion of the game is or how it fits into everything else.

Think of it this way. Medieval Kingdom is the island of Great Britain which is run by our fearless leader Macfive of Celtic Radio. This island is made up of several countries (think fiefdom) made up of players. While these players belong to a country (think fiefdom), they belong to a smaller group, a Clan. Scottish Clans have always crossed over borders just because they are based on families. So in theory, Clans can have members located in several countries (think fiefdom).

So far, all the wars that have taken place to date have been wars between Clans, not countries (think fiefdom).

Does this help?

i think with this change we'll see a lot more clans forming which is probably good for the game, the same 2 clans fighting over and over again are probably getting old for everyone so if actual countries can go to war against one another and you can develop one large army between everyone there than I welcome it.

OK Now I'm getting it. I didn't really understand what the Politics page had anything to do with the clans but now I do.

Oh and by the way I just wanted too let some clan members know that was fun the other nite when you hit me all at once. The last one I had to wait till I got home from work just to see what was left.

Behind the scenes we are working on web based country pages that will show all of the members of a country as well as the political offices.

I believe certain governers can effect the game through diplomacy and other special abilities.

Also, just a note that you can vote for yourself and one other person can vote for you which would make you King of that Country. Then you can name the country, determine your governers and add a Country banner.
