RebeccaAnn, I cannot even imagine the difficulty you and your family are going through right now. Please know that I will be praying that the God of all Comfort will be beside you as you deal with this terrible loss. May our sweet Lord Jesus make His lovely presence especially clear to you at this time.
A dear preacher friend of mine gave me something a few years ago that is so simple, and yet so profound. I use it at virtually every funeral I conduct here on the Reservation. Always remember that our time apart is shorter than the time we will be together.
