How will I spend my day? I will spend it doing the same thing as every other day. I will get my son off to school. Then later send the hubby to work and have the house to myself for a while. I will be doing some cleaning.
I do not go out to bars or anything like that and being new in town I do not know many people.
Happy St. Paddys' Day to all the Irish and all those who become Irish on this day. For those who are waiting with baited breath, to top off your day George W. (Yosemite Sam) Bush is here in Canada visiting CowTown (Calgary) to make a speach to the invited only (no media.) HAPPY ST. PATS DAY.
"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
Myself I am going to take a break in a short while to watch the parade. The mustering area for the marchers is right outside my building. Hope to post some photos later.
There's a dear little plant that grows in our isle, 'Twas St. Patrick himself, sure, that sets it; And the sun of his labor with pleasure did smile, And with dew from his eye often wet it. It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the mireland, And they call it the dear little Shamrock of Ireland.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all!

"Now here's my secret", said the fox, "it is very simple. It is only with ones heart that one can see clearly. What is essential is invisible to the eye."
("The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery)
"The soul would have no rainbow, if the eye had no tears." (Native American Proverb)
I'm at home with corn beef on the stove, cookies already baked, good irish butter in frig. and will finish soda bread before everyone comes for dinner.

Ralph Waldo Emerson
Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.
K. Gibran
In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.
John Muir
"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves."
I don't really do the St. Patty's Day thing, but have a happy one everyone.

"I am a Canadian by birth, but I am a Highlander by blood and feel under an obligation to do all I can for the sake of the Highlanders and their literature.... I have never yet spoken a word of English to any of my children. They can speak as much English as they like to others, but when they talk to me they have to talk in Gaelic."
-Alexander Maclean Sinclair of Goshen (protector of Gaelic Culture)
