Hello everyone. I have searched, when time has been available, for this type of radio station and up till now, have been dissappointed. I even subscribed to XM radio thinking they would have one, but did not. This is great! I stumbled onto this site Monday and have been hooked. I find most people I talk to don't know what celtic music is. I plan to go to the highlander festival in Radford VA this saturday; does anyone have any suggestions as to what to go to or where to park? I have been planning on going to the one at Grandfather Mountain in NC for years but have yet to make it. I think I let life get too busy. Anyway, thanks to everyone who made this station possible. And I hope to learn from all of you more about our music and hopefully a little gaelic. Thanks!

Hi Montie, from the Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona! Glad you found this place. Trust me, it's the best source for good Celtic music on the web! You will also enjoy the forums and all the folks that inhabit them!
Welcome aboard and have a great day!

Welcome home Montie! There are so many wonderful and friendly people on this site you will be amazed. There really is a kinship that I think makes this place a little different than most - but that is not because of Celtic Radio, but because of the individuals that you will meet on here that keep the spirit of this place going.
I'm not familiar with that Highland Game, but I am sure some of our Virginians will know about it. I can recommend you to take a peek at our Highland Game and Festival Guide for a few tips:

Greeting and warm welcome Montie. I think you've found yourself a little piece of what you've always been missing by joining us here. I'm afraid I don't get here as much as I would like to lately, but it's always nice to come and visit with the fine folks around here when a chance avails itself. Hope to hear more from you in the weeks to come.

Welcome Montie. I too thought about the whole Satellite Radio thing but after finding this I don't even consider it (unless it goes satellite of course). Co worker has it and while it is "commercial free they still tend to play the same songs at the same time everyday usually with a heavy emphasis on one or two bands. (Never thought I would be sick of AC/DC or Kiss) But all I heard was the heavy metal one. The others could be different. Till them HR rocks with pipes!!

Oh yes pipes rock but my birthday piper rocks even more. You are so right about the music. Welcome!
