| 'ey folks =) pop in, hang out... =) Can't get a conversation going if noone hangs out long enough for someone to realise they're there =) Pop in when you come to the site, and leave it open in another window or another tab while you browse the rest of the site, check forums, or whatever else =) I'm in there rather I'm at the keyboard or not, and will say hi if I can =) I've seen some people though, hop in, I notice them a few seconds later, and they're gone again before I can type hi and hit enter =) Add to this that I might be busy on another mahcine and not notice for a few minutes.... Hang out a while folks =) I'd love to see more people using the chat, and I'd love to chat w/ ye =) Can't happen if you're not there though |

| Is it an anti-Macintosh system or something? Every time I try to connect, it says "Unable to connect. Thank you for visiting Highland Radio. Please come again. Disconnected." It works right up until connection, then fizzles. I've tried several times, too. Should I file a complaint on the tech-support forum? |

| The server is a standard IRC server... Should work fine regardless of what OS your running. Windows, Linux, Mac, C64... Whatever... And the client should work on any machine that supports Java. If when it loaded ot came up with a grey screen asking for server, port, etc... then reload the page and see if you get a green form just asking for nick and channel. Then try that =) |

| I'm on an iMac, and I've found that the chatroom works best with Internet Explorer. It works with Safari, but it is interminably slow. |

| There is a problem with the chat room. I brought it up with Mac about a week ago. In the not too distant future he is going to be coming out with a new one. Right now it's hosted by a third party, but he's hoping to develop one of his own. Right now, the area that's supposed to say if someone is in live chat doesn't work. I guess if you want to chat you need to PM someone to let them know you're going to be there. |

I am officially on night shift now, and currently unaware of if I can get away with logging into the chat from work. I know that chat like this is pretty much forbidden as a general rule, Yet they do allow you to use AIM/ICQ through the Jabber client that is used internally. Not certain if they'd let me use Paul's Java client or not. maybe  |

| Hi mercyforme! (giggles) I guess that was a rather cryptic message wasn't it?  Yesterday morning I was sitting alone in the chat room waiting for some one to come chat. VetteGal has been trying for a while to get in to the chat room but has been having trouble with it. So yesterday she FINALLY gets in! Just as she gets in and says hi, my wife tells me I need to get off the computer because she needs to make a phone call. I thought it would be a short call, so I explained to Vette what was going on and asked her to wait just a minute and I'd be right back. Well, about 30 minutes later my wife finally gets off the phone! She is a phone gabber! Just as I signed back into the chat room, Vette was signing out! Guess she had waited too long! Hope that clears up the mystery for ya! Sorry Vette! Maybe we'll get another chance to chat soon! |

| Ah tickets are not on sale yet. The Riverdance website says they will be here in oct but the paramount does not yet list them. But the second they do the tickets they will be mine, oh yes, they will be mine---follow by evil laugh...... |

| Paul and I will have to fix up an instruction page for this once I get the rest of the scripts in place. Something to replace the outdated file he currently has there. I'll be going to work on this more in a moment once I finish reading the thread. In the interim, if you have an issue trying to get in, either post or PM me with a copy of the last few lines of text from the main window of the chat applet, and I'll see what I can come up with for you =) |

| The best way is to click on the "Live Chat" button under the Community window. A gray screen should pop-up with your screen name. Enter your password and then click on the square yellow face button below. And wait. |

| Then try this: Click on "CelticRadio.net" in the upper left corner. That should take you to the front page. Click on "Enter the site" just above the live site news. There should be the gray box with the chat room graphics. If you don't see any graphics, there should be a "upgrade java" button just above the right corner. Click on that and it will upgrade Java for you. Then go back and try it again. |
