I know it is approaching the Christmas season, but come on. While you are buying gifts for family and friends, do you buy gifts for yourself as well and during the year?

I just bought the Highlander TV series on DVD, Season 1-5, I am so jazzed. This guy who sold them to me made me an offer I could not refuse! wow!

Plus I bought the movie, The Alamo, DVD and it arrived as well today. I am really excited.

Then I won a $400 sweepstakes! I was so jazzed, but that means I have to buy one of their items in order to use it...........two of them are lap tops which I really would like to buy, but not sure hubby will go for it. We'll see!

What have you bought for yourself lately?

I think the last thing I bought for myself was a double disc set of chants from around the world

I bought myself something really nice this past weekend.

It is a book titled "The Celts" by Frank Delaney. I found it at the Goodwill and it cost me a whole 80 cents. For me, this is an extremely good buy. biggrin.gif

I bought new bedding for me (flanel). Something nice and cozy for the winter to come.

Otherwise you can count on it that I constantly buy books for myself.

One of the last ones was Men in Kilts by Katie MacAlister. Pretty good book.

I plan on buying a few more CD's for my collection.

I went on a bit of a spree at the Ligonier games...

One needlework book with medieval designs complete with documentation.

Eight cross-stitch books of heraldry and a few other themes. Hey, they're out of print and were on sale!

Six more music CDs that I've been dying to get for months. My husband got four, so I don't feel so bad. Actually who am I kidding, I didn't feel bad in the first place! angel_not.gif

A new stoneware mug to replace the one that shattered earlier this season and left me without a period-esque mug for a few events. ::sniff:: I loved my mug! But this one's pretty and holds about a pint. Should be enough to get the proper amount of coffee into my bloodstream in the morning.

I bought myself the latest "Boy Meets Girl" CD. They were a 1 hit wonder in the late 80's with "Waiting for a Star to Fall". They are my all time favourite group, and I was so jazzed to find out that they are recording again!

I bought a big kicker sub box for the Supertruck, and a new windshield banner. night time cityscape with the Superman symbol in the center, (to go along with the big Supe decal on the rear window) That was about a month ago.

Other than that, I'm having the truck restored, and getting the 383 and propane setup installed. (by saying having, I'm highly involved. Worked until 8 last night, and six thirty tonight, after getting home from work. The engine R & R is being done by the shop, and the cab corners and other body welding is being done by the body man. Other than that, I'm all over it. This thing has to get finished before the snow flies so I can park the Turbocoupe)

I bought two books for $1.50 at the book sale the English department was putting on at school. One was a pretty hardcover book of plays by Christopher Marlowe to add to my "I'll probably never read, but look nice on a shelf" collection of books for when I finally move into a place other than the dorms and can create a little library of my own. tongue.gif The other was Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights, which I don't know when I'll find the time to read.
