I am mostly into Folk and Ballads, whether it is Irish, Scottish, Early American or Native American or even some of the Pops. Why, that is a good question. I think this is because of the type of music I grew up with and for a second, there are a lot of old songs that people know the chorus to but do not know the story line. And this saddens me that so much is lost. |

My CD collection? Why it is huge! I cannot even begin to list it. It is eclectic. Here is a nutshell listing Celtic-Enya, Loreena McKennitt, Cheiftains, Waterboys, Old Blind Dogs and Andy M Stewart, to name a few I also have jazz and rock. My boys have learned to love classic rock, from listening to my stuff. We also have an extensive collection of contemporary christian music, including Edens Bridge. |

Holy moly, Barddas! I never thought I'd hear anyone own up to owning a Hole CD. A question: Does Courtney Love's ickiness permeate through the speakers? I just have to look at her and I want to go for a delousing. My CD collection, as best as I can recall: Guns N' Roses Metallica Pearl Jam Beastie Boys Queen John Lee Hooker Garth Brooks Stevie Ray Vaughan Izzy Stradlin & The Ju Ju Hounds Drowning Pool Limp Bizkit Eminem Kid Rock Linkin Park Hooked on Classics Pantera Aerosmith That's all I can remember right now. My DVD collection is better. |

Wow i'm so impressed at the long lists that barrdas and A Shrule Egan wrote out! I guess my music selection could best be described as eclectic, with cds ranging from the good oldies like janis joplin, the beatles, old bowie to the folky music like Stan Rogers, the Arrogant Worms, Angie Nussey, Mose scarlett to the alternative rock like The Tragically Hip and Our Lady Peace, the jazz of Kupa, Nora Jones and Louis Armstrong to the electronic sounds of Zero 7 to the surreal and etherial music of sigur Ros (if you haven't ever heard them, I strongly urge you to!). In general, I suppose I'm like everyone else in so far that I like any type of music that makes me happy and suites my mood at the time. |

I'm crushed! I have yet to see my favorites on anyone's list: Fleetwood Mac Stevie Nicks Sarah McLachlan Evanesence As well as lots of Celtic (favorites - Clannad, Maire Brennan, Enya, Dougie MacLean, Capercaillie, Steve MacDonald, Mary Jane Lamond) and Contemporary Christian (Michael W. Smith, Avalon, 4Him, Point of Grace, Eden's Birdge, Robin Mark, Jeremy Camp, Hillsong, Casting Crowns). Also like jazz, classical, most any Irish/Scottish folk. Don't like country, bluegrass, opera, rap, heavy metal. (No offense anyone! Just IMHO) |
