I was reviewing the ranking system and noticed that 7 individuals have completed the forums progression from lowly peasant all the way to royalty. Now there is plenty of room for more royalty so don't worry. We have plenty of gold and red crowns in the castle armory so keep posting!
WOW What a beautiful ring! Thank you, King MacFive, I am indeed honored.
I might add that this is the only message board where you can post to your hearts delight and not be considered a "troll" who is "flooding" the board!
Its the only place where loquaciousness is rewarded - so all of you new members are encouraged to post here frequently and often, and several times per day even!
yak yak yakity yak
(Note: One strategy is to break up your messages into individual postings - that will increase your rankings in hurry!)
Example: In the Welcome New Members thread - welcome all new members individually, rather than posting several new names on one post. I have taken to lumping several into one post because I haven't much time anymore, but if you are working on earning your rank, then split them up!
Yep. It only took me two days to move up from peasant. I just keep track of the threads and try to reply in most of them...For a while yesterday, I owned all of the ten most recent posts!

Thanks for the tips on how to earn rank. I've joined other BBS but lost interest after a few weeks due to the members' ebb & flow but there are lots of stimulating topics here. So I think I'll stay on a bit.

Thanks free. It was just on the list for this board. I couldn't shrink the dragon picture I had on my computer to 60x60 pixels, so I decided to used this one. By the way, Cait: the REALLY interesting topics are in the pub!
Oh, excuse me....I kinda have an attachment to my precious ring....lol
The one true ring, hmmm...I think by the fall we will upgrade our ranking system and start on the quest system. Not sure what it is going to be, but once I have this new sight design nailed and done I would like to try somesort of online game that makes use of this forum and the ability to use chat rooms as different locations. Don't expect any 3D graphics though!
By the way, Cait: the REALLY interesting topics are in the pub!
pawnman- I'd have joined you in the Pub, (oh I owe MacFive a pint btw) but I was waiting to get ID'd by the bouncer. Told him I was old enough but he wanted a body cavity search, hence the delay, since My driver's licence wasn't at ALL where they wanted to search! See ya there soon Cait
These days I have to do my posting at work. My hard drive "pooped the bed" so my meteoric rise to the top of the posting heap has been greatly diminished.
